Rethinking Equity and Justice Through a Design Thinking Lens

Wednesday 12:50 – 1:50 PM

Session Description

Most conversations we have about diversity and inclusion work surround adoption of existing best practices. But little is said at the outset about how these strategies fit our populations, and what adaptations will be needed for our game plans to feel “at home” in our organizations.

Using the design thinking model, participants will learn how institutional knowledge, creative thinking, and a commitment to exploration can do to actively and meaningfully create (and sustain!) justice and equity in our organizations.
